Brazil and FC Barcelona legend, Ronaldinho, believes Neymar will be the ‘future’ of Brazilian football and can write history at the Nou Camp.
The 2002 World Cup winner has insisted Neymar has what it takes to succeed at Barcelona and says that “it’s normal to have an adaptation period.”
“He started well, but has much more to play and many more joys to give the fans in the future,” Ronaldinho said in an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena COPE.
“He is one of the players who will be the future of Brazilian football. I hope he can conquer everything because Barca is the world’s biggest club and I think he can make history within the club.”
Ronaldinho also revealed that ‘all Brazil’ will be watching the La Liga final between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid and that he can’t see Lionel Messi moving to another club.
“All of Brazil is watching to see what happens on Saturday,” he added.
“I am the fan who thinks positively. I hope Barca win this time.
“Certainly, I think Messi is the best player in the world. He’s the most fundamental player for Barcelona to keep being the Barcelona they were before.
“I can’t see Messi in any other club than Barcelona, but as a friend, I want to see him happy. But for the sake of football, I want to see him at Barcelona.”
