Following his arrest last week, former FC Barcelona and Brazil superstar Ronaldinho appears to be in a lot of trouble. Here is the latest on his time in jail.

It was reported on Monday that the ex-Selecao talisman is facing up to six months behind bars after he and his brother were caught with fake Paraguayan passports by Paraguayan authorities.

While it initially appeared they would be allowed off the hook, new reports suggested they were set to be investigated for "additional crimes" after the leading prosecutor on the case stated there had been indications other crimes were committed.

Ronaldinho's lawyer Sergio Queiroz has pled the former football star's innocence, although AS has now reported the judge working the case has refused to grant the Brazilian and his brother house arrest.

It has been further claimed that the court is worried that the 39-year-old and his sibling would try escape due to the publicity the case is getting.

It is believed officials have up to six months to complete inquiries under Paraguayan law, which could see the 2005 Ballon d'Or winner and his brother jailed for that entire period.
