Roma cemented their place at the top of Serie A when they beat Inter Milan 3-0 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to remain unbeaten, and grab a maximum of 21 points after playing seven games this season.
Roma captain, Francesco Totti gave the visitors a lead with a ferocious low drive from outside the box, which flew into the bottom corner past a helpless Samir Handanovic, with 18 minutes played in the first-half.
Totti then doubled the visitors lead, after Gervinho was fouled in the area by Álvaro Pereira, and duly slotted home the penalty in the 40th minute.
The log-leaders were not done there, as they caught Inter on the break, as the home side pushed forward trying to cut the deficit and were left short at the back, with Alessandro Florenzi punishing them with a minute to play before-half time.
Andrea Ranocchia had a goal ruled out for Inter midway through the second half, but had his effort ruled out for a foul on Roma keeper Morgan De Sanctis.
Roma played the last 11 minutes a man down following a second yellow card for Federico Balzaretti, but three first-half goals were enough to see them out comfortably.
Rudi Garcia’s team are now five points clear at the top of the table after their perfect start to the season, and the team will have made their intentions clear that they are serious title contenders.
This leaves Inter in fourth place and five points adrift, while Juventus and Napoli will try and reduce Roma’s lead at the top when they both play on Sunday.
In the other Serie A clash, a Maxi Moralez volley in the 16th minute gave Atalanta a 1-0 win at Chievo Verona.
