Former Manchester City and Inter boss, Roberto Mancini, has parted ways with Galatasaray after reaching a mutual agreement.
The 49-year-old Italian took charge of the Turkish club in September last year on a three-year contract after leaving City at the end of the 2012/13 season.
“We wholeheartedly thank Mancini for his success and achievements and wish him happiness in his next mission,” Galatasaray said in a statement.
Mancini led Galatasaray into second place in the Super Lig behind cross-town rivals Fenerbahce and also won the Turkish Cup.
He also led Galatasaray into the Chmapions League Round of 16, where they were eliminated by Chelsea.
Only on Monday, Mancini had stated that he will stay in Turkey, despite being linked with a return to his former club Lazio as well as a shock move to Southampton.
