Supporters can expect some big signings from the Magpies over the coming seasons following the Saudi-backed takeover of the club previously owned by controversial Sports Direct chief executive officer Mike Ashley.
Under Ashley, fans were frustrated by the lack of investment in the squad, and a total change in the way the club is run is expected under PCP Capital Partners, the Rueben Brothers and the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF).
It is the latter, PIF, that now owns 80% of the Magpies, although the Premier League claims to have received legally binding assurances that the majority stakeholders would not be in control of the club amid concerns that Newcastle would become a state-owned franchise.
According to Goal, the PIF is now the wealthiest owner/ownership group in England and in world football, with Manchester City's Sheikh Mansour second on the list.

Chelsea's Roman Abramovich and Arsenal's Stan Kroenke are the only other two Premier League-based club owners that feature in the money ranking, which includes owners from Germany, Italy, the United States and France.
