Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has dedicated their UEFA Super Cup win over Chelsea to manager Pep Guardiola.
Ribery scored in the second-half of regulation time before running off to celebrate with the coach on the sidelines.
The Blues looked like they were going to edge the tie 2-1 at the end of extra-time but with the last kick of the game Javi Martinez sent the game to penalties - where Bayern emerged victorious as Romelu Lukaku missed Chelsea's fifth and final spot-kick.
Ribery was delighted with the result and was pleased to help his current mentor to get one over his former rival Jose Mourinho.
"We fought until the last minute. It's a well-deserved success for Bayern. The victory is also important for Pep," said Ribery.
"I have a super relationship with Guardiola. It was an extraordinary moment when I rushed over to him [after scoring].
"I told him this is a goal for you, against Mourinho."
