Brazilian star Everton Ribeiro looks likely to snub Real Madrid and join David Moyes at Manchester United.
The Cruzeiro Esporte Clube attacking midfielder has attracted interest from the Spanish giants but he is apparently more interested in following his childhood dream by signing for the Red Devils, and could join them in the January transfer window.
Ribeiro helped his side win the domestic title in Brazil last year and is highly rated by a number of clubs and managers.
The 24 year old though is keen to join the English champions and has admitted that Old Trafford would be his desired destination.
“Yes, I would prefer that [to join Manchester United],” he said.
“The structure they have in place is one of the best in the world. I have been there already and went to a lecture by [Sir] Alex Ferguson when I was younger.”
Ribeiro is however owned by both his current club Cruziero and a third party in a 60/40% split which means United will have to make a deal with the FA in Brazil to try and negotiate terms which would enable the Brazilian to arrive in Manchester next month.
