Reports: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang To Join Chinese Outfit
Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly set to join a Chinese Super League side this month.
According to Sina.com, the African attacker will be Guangzhou Evergrande's latest big-name signing, and will cost the club about £63.8 million (R1.07 billion).
The Gabon international has also been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all said to be interested in the striker.
BVB's sporting director Michael Zorc has rubbished the Chinese news outlet's report, but despite this, many believe the two clubs are in advanced negotiations.
"Speculation about Auba is nothing new to us. That does not really annoy us anymore," Zorc said, according to The Sun.
"In recent months, he has allegedly been transferred to five clubs.
"If it were so, we would have to have announced accordingly. That that did not happen says it all."
The African star is expected to leave his Bundesliga side at the end of the season, but there has been no confirmation in which league the forward would prefer to play in.
The 28-year-old has made 23 appearances across all competitions for BVB so far this season, scoring 21 goals and assisting three further strikes.
