Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina has compared his new club to when he and coach Rafael Benitez were both at Liverpool.
Reina joined Napoli at the start of the 2013/14 season on a season-loan deal from Liverpool and is backing Benitez to have a successful first season with the Italian club.
Benitez, who won the Champions League and FA Cup during his six-year spell at Liverpool, is embarking on a second stint in Italy having coached Inter Milan briefly in 2010, and Reina believes he is geared for success.
“Napoli remind me of Benitez's Liverpool,” said Reina on Sky Sports.
“Despite the fact that we were not the strongest team technically, we were able to achieve great results due to hard work.”
“I have found a similar Rafa to that of eight years ago.
“He has the same determination to do well and counts on the group and on hard work as the basis of success."
Napoli take on Atalanta on Saturday night in their third game of the Aerie A having made the best start with wins against Bologna and then at Chievo.
