Grant Holt somehow missed pulling a goal back when failed to slide the ball home in the 51st minute and that miss would be punished moments later.

The Reds were flowing with confidence and things would get worse for Norwich when Steven Gerrard slammed a low shot into the back of the net in the 65th minute.
The rout was then completed by Raheem Sterling who raced down the flank before firing a shot at goal which was deflected over the line by Bennett.
