Real Madrid have reportedly made Liverpool striker, Luis Suarez, their main transfer target for the summer.
Florentino Perez has long set his sights on the Uruguay forward and Carlo Ancelotti seems to have also given the green light for the transfer.
However, Suarez wouldn’t come cheap as Marca report he would cost as much as Gareth Bale, whom the Los Blancos signed last summer.
The fee could be about €92m (R 1.34 billion) after Suarez has just signed a new four-and-a-half year contract with Liverpool in December.
The extension made him the highest-paid Liverpool player at Anfield and is reportedly worth €10m (R 146 million) per year.
The CIES expert say the 27-year-old is worth £79.4m (R 1.43 billion), which is slightly more than the rumoured fee by Marca.
Suarez was Liverpool’s standout performer last season – finishing as the Premier League’s top scorer and picking up the PFA and WFA Player of the Year awards as well as the official Barkley’s Player of the Season award.
The Liverpool Player of the Season also tied Real’s Cristiano Ronaldo in the European Golden Shoe race and his agent confirmed it would very difficult to resist Real.
“If there is such a big offer from Real Madrid, it is very difficult to say no. Luis Suarez has always had a predisposition for Spain,” Alejandro Balbi told Cadena Ser.
