Real Madrid “didn’t have the balls” to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic after he had fallen out with Pep Guardiola at FC Barcelona, says his agent.
Mino Raiola cast light on Ibrahimovic’s stint at Camp Nou, and revealed that his client wanted to sign with Barcelona’s rivals Real Madrid.
It is a known secret that Ibrahimovic and Guardiola fell out during the Swede’s year at Camp Nou, before he joined Milan.
His agent has now claimed Ibrahimovic would have loved to sign for Real Madrid to hit back at Guardiola.
“Zlatan wanted to play for Real when he left Barca,” Raiola told Marca.
“It would have been the ideal move. The perfect revenge against Guardiola.
“He wanted to sign for Real Madrid, but they didn't have the balls at the Bernabeu and no clear plan.”
The 33-year-old later joined Paris Saint-Germain, where he is trying to win the Champions League, but his agent claims Ibrahimovic won’t finish his career with the French champions.
“I don't think Ibra will finish his career at PSG,” Raiola added.
Ibrahimovic has won five trophies since moving to Paris Saint-Germain, but dropped out of the Champions League twice at quarter-final stage.
