Sergio Ramos has welcomed Real Madrid’s pursuit of Malaga’s Spanish Under 21 sensation, Isco.
The attacking midfielder is coveted by both Los Blancos and Manchester City, and has hinted that he will decide his club of his choice imminently.
Weekend reports suggested that Isco is likely to plump for Madrid, and that the Bernabeu faithful will enjoy watching his silky skills up close and personal next season.
Real staple Ramos thinks Isco would be a top quality addition to the Madrid squad, and is anxiously awaiting confirmation that his Andalusian homeboy has given Manchester City the cold shoulder.
“He [Isco] is a great player, an Andaluz from my land,” Ramos Al Primer Toque radio show.
“Anything that can strengthen the Blancos side, with players from the top level, is always a joy for us.”
Reports suggest that Madrid have agreed to pay €30 million to Malaga for Isco, and will also send their Castilla youth academy’s Russia Under-21 international Denis Cheryshev to Malaga on loan for a season as part of the deal.
Apart from Isco, Real continue to be linked to Uruguay frontmen Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani, but no signings are likely to be announced until Carlo Ancelotti is unveiled as Los Blancos manager, possibly later this week.
