PSG Target Laudrup Staying At Swansea

Michael Laudrup has played down rumours linking him to the manager’s job at PSG.

The French club are reportedly keen to hire Laudrup as Carlo Ancelotti’s replacement, if the Italian quits for Real Madrid as expected.

PSG have been emboldened to flirt with Danish legend Laudrup after a spat between his agent and Swansea.

Agent Bayram Tutumlu has had his privileges revoked at Swansea, after complaining that the club was not supporting his client adequately in the transfer market.

Laudrup has been agitated of late by what he feels is a lack of financial muscle in the transfer market.

He did superbly well in guiding the Welsh club to the Capital One Cup last season, and had hoped to rewarded with a bigger kitty to strengthen his squad for the new campaign.

The falling out between the agent and the club has reportedly led PSG to enquire about Laudrup’s availability.

But he says that his intention is to remain at Swansea, regardless of his agent’s relationship with them.

"I have repeated it so many times in the last three months. My intention is to stay," Laudrup told the South Wales Evening Post.

"Bayram is my agent and that's not going to change. If the club do not want to work with him, or Bayram does not want to work with them, it's their problem, not mine.

"The only thing I care about is to have the best players possible at Swansea who are within range of the economy of the club.

"I have 100% confidence in Bayram, but if the club don't want to work with him or he doesn't want to work with them, they have to live with that. It will not change my relationship with Bayram one centimetre.

"The only thing I am interested in is having the best players at Swansea within the budget that is possible.

"That's what I have been fighting for every day, last year when I arrived and this year as well. That will always be the most important thing for me, wherever I end up in the future."
