Teams: Spain v Uruguay
Date: 16 June 2013
Venue: Arena Pernambuco
World and European champions Spain kick-off their Confederations Cup campaign against a talented Uruguay on Sunday night.
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has a few decisions to make - whether to start Iker Casillas or Victor Valdes in goal, and whether he will stick to his false number nine system.
Casillas spent most of last season on the bench at Real Madrid as he fell behind Diego Lopez in the pecking order, meaning that Valdes and Pepe Reina have had more preparation.
De Bosque has also not settled on a striker recently, often employing Cesc Fabregas up front in a false nine system.
Uruguay, on the other hand, are not short of quality strikers - with Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan in the mix.
The Copa America champions, though, have endured a disastrous spell which has left them five points adrift of automatic qualification for the 2014 World Cup.
They will, however, be boosted by their crucial win in Venezuela just ahead of the tournament which lifted them into fifth place.
Spain enjoyed a comfortable 3-1 win over Uruguay in a friendly back in February this year, and are currently on a 22-game unbeaten run.
