Cesare Prandelli is expecting an open affair when they host Germany in an international friendly in Milan on Friday.
The Italian coach is well aware that Joachim Low’s men will be coming to Italy to try and get a win over the Azzurri.
“We’re going to try and be open against the Germans,” he told reporters.
“We’ve prepared well and I’m sure we’re in for a good game.”
“I’m sure they’re going to come here and do everything to win, so we have to try and counter that,” he added.
Prandelli also mentioned Serie A top scorer Giuseppe Rossi will not be part of the friendly clash due to tonsillitis and that Southampton’s Pablo Osvaldo will replace the Fiorentina player and partner Mario Balotelli up front. The coach also praised the Milan star’s form so far this season.
"Rossi definitely won't be there, even though he took part in the first training session today (Thursday)," Prandelli said.
"(Daniele) De Rossi is available but will most likely start on the bench."
"I've never seen him (Balotelli) so well and so motivated," he added.
"A great player knows that he is always under scrutiny and that each match hides pitfalls.”
"He is a player who is feared all the world over," the Italian tactician concluded.
