It was confirmed on Thursday morning that talented 20-year-old Italian striker Pietro Pellegri has left Monaco to join Torino on loan until the end of the season, after AC Milan terminated his temporary deal with them on Wednesday.

The forward, once considered among Europe's most promising youngsters, spent the first half of the campaign on loan at the Rossoneri but made just six appearances for them.

He will now aim to have more of an influence at Torino, learning alongside Italy international Andrea Belotti, as he attempts to get his career back on track following several injury issues since he arrived on the scene.

Johannesburg-born defender Panagiotis Retsos has completed a free transfer to Serie A side Hellas Verona from Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen, for whom he made 43 appearances over five years.

Sevilla, meanwhile, confirmed the arrival of Manchester United striker Anthony Martial on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
