Despite numerous injuries affecting the Manchester United squad, boss David Moyes said he will not go digging in the January transfer market.
Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie are among the players currently sidelined and with a crucial period coming up, Moyes insists he is not worried.
“It won't change how we go about things,” said Moyes.
“January is not an easy month to purchase in.
“We have a good, big squad that is getting stretched at the moment because of the number of games.
“But everybody picks up injuries at this time of year. We are no different and will use the squad.”
Asked if he would be making signings at all, Moyes added: “I don't think so.
“I think most of the business will be more towards the summer rather than January.”
Moyes did confirm that they will be looking to bring in Daniele De Rossi from Roma.
“We certainly did think in the summer about bringing him here,” said Moyes.
“I don’t think it went as far as a bid, because I think there was something to do with a deadline on his contract.
“But yes, he was a player we thought was a good player.”
