Moyes Sorry For Dikgacoi

Manchester United boss, David Moyes, has expressed his sympathy for South African Kagisho Dikgacoi after the Crystal Palace player was sent off in their Barclays Premiership match on Saturday afternoon.

United ran out 2-0 winners over Place thanks to goals form Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney.

The first goal came courtesy of a penalty-kick after Dikgacoi pulled down Ashley Young inside the box.

The referee adjudged Dikgacoi to have been the last man and showed him a red card.

Speaking after the match Moyes said he felt that the South African was a little harshly dismissed.

“The boy (Dikgacoi) definitely throws his leg out, but I think Ashley has put his leg into his leg. It is not what I want,” said Moyes when referring to the penalty.

“I don't like the rule where every time it is the last man it means it is (a red card).

“I thought it was harsh.

“If I was Ian Holloway [Crystal Palace manager] I would be disappointed.

“OK, it might be a penalty. But I don't think the boy made a challenge to wipe him out.

“Unfortunately that is the rule.”

The loss was Palace’s third of the season while Moyes picke dup his first win at Old Trafford in the league.
