World-famous MMA fighter Conor McGregor has been linked with the purchase of one of the biggest clubs in football.
The 32-year-old, a multi-millionaire athlete, is said to be interested in buying a stake in a sports team.
McGregor first moved into the world of business when he launched his very own whiskey brand three years ago, but he does not appear to be finished.
Last month, he appeared to jokingly state that he would rescue Manchester United from its current situation, with the Glazer family, who own the Red Devils, being pressured to sell the club after the fallout following the European Super League debacle.
The Irishman has once again talked up the potential move, saying on Twitter that United is one of the teams he likes after he was asked if he would really aim to purchase the English giants.
Irish businessman Dermot Desmond is the largest individual stakeholder at Celtic, and owned shares in United before eventually selling them to Malcolm Glazer and his family 16 years ago.
