Athletic Bilbao coach Marcelo Bielsa is happy that the Fernando Llorente transfer saga has come to an end, even though he is set to lose the player.
The Spain international has been linked with the Old Lady for some time and the move was finally confirmed on Thursday, with the Argentine set to move to Italy in the summer.
Llorente has said that he will give his all until then, and although Bielsa admits that he will be sad to see him go - he is happy that the saga is over.
"It gives us both joy and sadness that he will stop with this team, something we have known since August," he said at a press conference.
"I do not believe he will lose his performance level since this confirmation."
Llorente's teammate, midfielder Ibai Gomez, has also wished the forward well for when he complete his move to the Italian champions.
"Llorente is our player until the end of the season; I wish him all the best when he leaves. Now the soap opera is over, hopefully we can get back to football."
