Despite constant rumours linking Lionel Messi with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic feels that the four-time Ballon d'Or winner is happy at Barcelona.
PSG has become one of the big players in European football over the last couple of seasons with the purchases of high profile players such as Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Lucas Moura and Edinson Cavani, and now they are rumoured to be chasing Messi.
Ibrahimovic, though, feels a lot of the speculation is created by the media around the movement of Messi, but admits if the Argentine international were to come to PSG the Ligue 1 side would be a better club.
“If he [Messi] is up for sale then the whole world will be after him, not just PSG,” said Ibrahimovic.
“I don't know the situation but I think he's very happy at Barcelona.
“The press creates this, but only he knows the truth.
“PSG's project is to dream bigger, but if you buy Messi, you don't dream bigger, you are bigger.”
PSG currently top the Ligue 1 standings with 44 points from 19 league games, three clear of their closest rivals Monaco.
Ibrahimovic, though, says he is never satisfied and wants the team to achieve even more.
“I'm never satisfied, I want to win,” added Ibrahimovic.
“We've progressed well and quickly. The team has come on very quickly in the right direction.
“We play very good football, we have the ball, we create chances.
“There's a high level of collective quality, our mentality is progressing. Everything's going in the right direction and I'm delighted.”
