Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has backed Sergio Aguero and believes that the Argentine is better than Liverpool’s Luis Suarez.
The side from Manchester take on Brendan Rodgers side on Sunday in a top of the table clash with Liverpool’s Suarez leading the goal scoring charts having scored 29 goals in 32 games to send his side top of the table.
City’s manager admitted that Suarez was a great player but was adamant that Aguero was the better player.
"I wouldn't swap. I think a lot of Suarez. He is a great player, not only a striker,” Pellegrini stated when asked if he would swap his star striker for Liverpool’s main man.
"He scores goals but he also plays a lot for the team. But if you tell me I could change him for Sergio, I'd say no.”
"I am absolutely sure any team who played with Sergio would be improved.”
"They are both very good. Suarez has had the whole season playing. He has scored a lot of goals, whereas Sergio has had a difficult season with injuries but they are both top players."
