Former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini believes that striker Edin Dzeko would be a hit in Italy if he moved to the Serie A.
The Citizens are reportedly keen to use the 27-year0old as part of a bid to sign striker Edinson Cavani from Napoli this summer.
The Bosnian fell behind Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero in the pecking order with Mancini, as the Italian started him 16 times in the league, but Mancini feels that Dzeko would suit the Serie A.
"Dzeko is a great striker and in Italy he could score 20-30 goals for the season," Mancini told reporters.
Mancini also revealed that during his time at the Etihad, Cavani was one of his top targets but he is not sure if they will still persue the striker after his departure.
"When I was at Manchester I talked often with the board about Edinson Cavani because he could interest us a lot," he said.
"Right now I don't know if they have still interest in him with the new technical project."
