Roberto Mancini could be in line for a shock return to Inter Milan.
The Italian was sacked by Manchester City after failing to defend their Premier League title or advance in the Champions League.
Inter meanwhile, have endured a horrendous season, and only finished ninth on the Serie A log.
For most of the campaign, the club insisted young manager Andrea Strammaccioni would not be sacked.
But now it seems Strammaccioni’s job could be on the line, with Mancini in his old club’s sights.
"Mancini as a possibility? Everything is possible in football," Inter president Massimo Moratti told Football Italia.
If Inter do want their old boss back they will have to move quickly, however.
Mancini- who won three Serie A titles, two Italian Cups and two Super Cups while he was in the San Siro hot seat- is also reportedly on the shortlists of French big spenders Monaco and PSG.
