Manchester United believes that they are close to signing Thomas Muller and hope that a bid of £25m will be enough to convince Bayern Munich to sell their German star.
Muller is reportedly one of the names that new manager Louis van Gaal wants to see at Old Trafford after the World Cup in Brazil.
Muller who was given his break into the first-team at the Bavarian giants by Van Gaal, has come forward talking about his future and hinted that the time may be right to leave the German champions.
"I have now come to the point where I insist to know that I am part of the starting 11 at Bayern Munich," Muller told a German publication.
"I have also demanded to know if the club really want to go forward with me in the next few seasons. I am no longer the type who says, 'OK then, today I will play in this role, next match in that role. Just move me about and I will keep my mouth shut'.”
"No, those days are gone," the German international concluded.
