Manchester United and Real Madrid have reportedly agreed to a £64 million deal for Angel Di Maria.
According to reports, United will pay almost £50 upfront, with up to £12 million of add-ons and incentives, split into three potential payments of £4 million.
With the way the deal is structured United will most likely end up paying around £64 million for the 26-year-old.
However, United boss, Louis van Gaal, remained coy over the transfer.
"I think always the club has to announce it and when we are thinking it's the right time for a transfer then we come to you and say, 'OK, we have bought that player or the other player,' but at this time we cannot say anything,” he said after his side’s disappointing 1-1 at Sunderland on Sunday.
He confirmed he was a fan of Di Maria but added: "I like (Lionel) Messi also. I like (Arturo) Vidal also. We have a lot of players in this world that I like but they cannot come always to Manchester United."

The Argentine is expected to Manchester to complete the deal on Monday and has been promised the No.7 shirt at Old Trafford. He is expected to sign a six-year-deal.
The stated fee would match what Real paid to sign James Rodgriguez from Monaco earlier this summer, and would help club president, Florentino Perez, to appease the club’s fans amid dissatisfaction at the sale of Di Maria.
