Manchester United are reportedly chasing Real Madrid’s Angel di Maria, Sporting’s Marcos Rojo and Ajax’s Daley Blind.
United vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, is understood to have been in Cardiff last night to meet Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, and discuss a potential Di Maria transfer.
Louis van Gaal wants to add Di Maria, who didn't feature in the game, to his squad but the Red Devils would have to splash out £50 million for the 26-year-old.
Van Gaal’s side reportedly also made a £16 million bid for Argentina left-back Marcos Rojo from Sporting Lisbon. The 24-year-old failed to appear at practice yesterday after Sporting reportedly rejected an initial United offer.
Ajax's versatile Blind is also a target for Van Gaal and could be the final part of a triple swoop worth over £80 million.
Blind has admitted his interest in linking up with his World Cup boss again in Manchester, but it is questionable whether the English club will sign both Blind and Rojo.
United are also still heavily linked with Arturo Vidal and Juan Cuadrado, but there are currently no new developments public.
