Manchester United and Arsenal target, William Carvalho, says he won’t be leaving Sporting this summer.
The 22-year-old highly rated midfielder, who has been linked with a £20 million to one of the two Premier League giants, has rubbished rumors of a potential transfer on deadline day.
“I have a deal with Sporting and I am a player of Sporting,” he told Sky Sports.
“My present is this club and I am feeling very good with Sporting. It really has not entered my head to leave Sporting on the last day.”
It was rumoured that Carvalho would be Arsene Wenger’s major target to bring in a top quality holding midfielder, while Louis van Gaal also wanted his services.
Carvalho played 33 games for Sporting last season and scored four goals in the process.
The defensive midfielder made his Portugal debut in 2013 and made two appearances at the World Cup.
