City Join Race For Di Maria

Manchester City have reportedly joined the race to sign Real Madrid winger, Angel Di Maria.

Reports suggested on Saturday that Di Maria is set join city's crosstown rivals, Manchester United for a fee around £60 million.

Although United could have some competition in the race to sign the Argentina international, as City are reportedly keen on acquiring the services of the winger.

A source at City revealed to The Sunday Times that the club have asked Di Maria to delay his decision, as they attempt to solve the Financial Fair Play implications of such a expensive transfer, while the FFP rules has seen Paris Saint-Germain pull of negotiations for the Madrid winger.

City are reportedly looking to raise  £50m from player sales, with striker Alvaro Negrado being one of the potential departures in this transfer window.
