Hungry Suárez Returns With A Brace

Luis Suarez scored twice for Uruguay in Monday’s friendly against Oman. The goals were his first for Uruguay since the summer World Cup where he was found guilty of biting an opponent.

The controversial striker scored the opening two goals for the South Americans who eased to a 3-0 victory in Al Buraimi.

Suarez, first strike was an exquisite 18-yard chip over the advancing Oman keeper in the 58th minute, before adding a second nine minutes later.

Suarez, who joined Spanish giants Barcelona during the summer, is serving a nine-match international ban and four-month suspension from all competitive games after biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini during the group stages of the World Cup.

The 27 year old has been allowed to play in friendlies after an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in August revised the terms of his ban, which is due to end next week.

The expiry of his ban on 24 October allows him to make his Barcelona debut in the El Clásico against Real Madrid in La Liga on 25 October.
