Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers, has revealed he is planning to use his on-form striker, Luis Suarez, as a selling point when trying to convince players to move to Anfield.
The Uruguay international has just extended his contract with the Reds and it is well-known that he wants to play Champions League next season.
His boss, Brendan Rodgers, thinks having players like Suarez, who has already scored 19 goals in 12 games this season, at the club will attract more quality players to join Liverpool.
“Good players want to play with good players,” told the Daily Star.
"When you've got a world-class player like Suarez, and we've got a number of other young players improving, our selling point is the team and the philosophy.
Suarez' 19 goals and 11 assists have helped Liverpool to lead the English Premier League over Christmas and make the Reds serious title contenders.
The last four title winners all led the Premier League at this time of the year, but the last four times Liverpool was on top over Christmas, they missed out on the title in the end of the season.
To avoid another fall-out, Liverpool and Rodgers will surely become active in the January transfer window to add depth to their squad and compete with the likes of Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea until the end of the season.
Rodgers added: "Our success here will be based around the team and how we work.
“Certainly when you've got players of that esteem – Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez – top players would like to play with those players."
Liverpool now travel to City’s fortress on Boxing Day before facing another difficult away fixture at Stamford Bridge on December 29. Can they take some points away from their direct rivals and stay on top until the turn of the year?
