AC Milan forward, Mario Balotelli, is reportedly close to joining Liverpool after stating that today this might be his last day at the club.
According to Sky Italia the two clubs reached an agreement in principle of around £16 million for the 24-year-old.
It is understood that Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, will fly to Liverpool to negotiate terms of the contract for his client.
Earlier today, Milan’s official in-house TV channel confirmed that there are talks between the two clubs for an ‘outright sale of Mario Balotelli’.
The Rossoneri also confirmed through their official website that the negotiations between the two clubs are real.
“Mario Balotelli, for who negotiations are underway, is working alongside his teammates,” read a statement.
Apparently in arriving at the training ground this morning, Balotelli commented: “This will be my last day at Milanello.”
Milan, meanwhile, will look at Porto forward, Jackson Martinez, to replace Balotelli.
