Real Betis 0-2 Sevilla:
Kevin Gameiro’s brace was enough to lead Sevilla to a win over 10 man Real Betis at the Estadio Manuel Ruiz De Lopera on Sunday. Juan Carlos was given his marching orders for a foul on Carlos Bacca in the first-half which resulted in Gameiro’s opener from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark. Gameiro then wrapped up the points for the visitors in the 82nd minute with a close range finish.
Valencia 2-1 Elche:
Valencia moved up to eighth place with a 2-1 home win over Elche at the Mestalla. Pablo Piatti opened the scoring for the hosts in the 22nd minute only for Coro to equalise for the visitors five minutes later. Daniel Parejo then grabbed the winner on the hour mark with Elche failing to capitalise on a penalty in the 71st minute which Damián Suárez failed to convert.
Espanyol 2-2 Rayo Vallecano:
Espanyol and Rayo Vallecano played out to a 2-2 draw at the Cornella El Prat on Sunday in their La Liga clash. The home side took an early lead through Christian Stuani’s third minute opener only for Yago Falqué to equalise for Rayo in the final few minutes of the first-half. Joaquin Larrivey then gave the visitors the lead in the 50th minute but Diego Colotto’s 88th minute goal made sure the spoils were shared.
