Levante 0-0 Rayo Vallecano
Levante and Rayo Vallecano played out to a 0-0 stalemate at the Ciudad De Valencia on Saturday. In an evenly matched game with both side’s producing a host of half-chances in the final 10 minutes of play, neither side could break the deadlock and snatch all three points. The result means that Levante drop to ninth place on the log.
Getafe 0-0 Real Valladolid
Getafe and Real Valladolid played out to the second goalless draw in Saturday’s La Liga fixtures. The visitors just edged their hosts in terms of possession and did create more chances than the home side. Jesús Rueda came closest to open the scoring for Valladolid and had the best chance of the game when he struck the post with a header following a cross from Omar Ramos. This was the closest that either side got to breaking the deadlock and both sides had to settle for a point a piece.
Malaga 3-2 Sevilla
Malaga snatched a late victory as they beat Sevilla 3-2 at the Estadio La Rosaleda in this five goal thriller. The home side opened the scoring on the half-hour mark through a Duda penalty after Coke had committed a foul in the penalty area. Carlos Bacca then levelled matters for the visitors with just four minutes played in the second-half after latching onto a through ball from Vicente Iborra. Ivan Rakitic then provided a wonderful cross for Federico Fazio to head Sevilla in the lead with 66 minutes played. The home side then responded when Samuel equalised in the 77th minute before Duda grabbed his second of the game, and earned Malaga all three points with his 83rd minute winner.
