Getafe 0-1 Valencia: Dorlan Pabon’s solitary goal was enough to end a run of three consecutive losses to finally pick up a win for Valencia. Pabon received the ball 35 yards from goal and smashed a rocket of a shot straight into the top corner, even though he appeared to lose his balance as he struck the ball. The second-half was an open affair as Getafe pushed forward in search of an equaliser. The home side should have equalised through Jaime Gavilan after he had got on the end of a pull back from substitute Diego Castro, but he wasted the opportunity and shot well wide. The result moved Miroslav Djukic’s men up to ninth on the log.
Levante 0-1 Granada: Granada snatched an important away victory in the 90th minute at the Ciudad De Valencia. Levante should of opened the scoring with 25 minutes on the clock by Nabil El Zhar could not convert his penalty and both teams went into the half-time break on level terms. The game seemed to be heading for a stalemate until substitute striker Piti snatched a late winner for the visitors in stoppage time. Piti had replaced Diego Buonanotte 10 minutes earlier and the substitute struck a brilliant left-footed free-kick to secure the points for the away side.
Malaga 3 – 2 Real Betis: Malaga earned all three points thanks goal on the stroke of full-time from Samuel in their dramatic La Liga clash at the Estadio De Rosaleda. The hosts opened the scoring through veteran goal-poacher Roque Santa Cruz with just over 10 minutes on the clock. Real Betis responded 20 minutes later and were on level terms when Verdú scored for the visitors going into the half-time break. The hosts took the lead again with an hour played when Portuguese midfielder Eliseu found the back of the net. Betis responded immediately and looked to have secured a point when Jordi Figueras Montel equalised for the visitors for the second time in the match in the 63rd minute. Samuel then snatched a late victory for Malaga breaking Betis hearts in the process with his 90th minute winner.
