PSG have confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed a transfer extension with the club.
The Swedish international title magnate’s agent had hinted last week that a new deal could be in the offing, but PSG vehemently denied the speculation.
However, on Tuesday the French champions revealed on their website that Ibra has committed his future to the Parc des Princes.
The 31-year-old hit-man is considered to be one of the most lethal finishers in the business, and PSG believe his decision to remain at the club for another three years says something about their ambition, and the direction they are heading in.
Of course, the fact that he will allegedly be paid €15 million per year also has something to do with it!
"The will of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, one of the best players in the world, to make his mark long-term on the history of Paris Saint-Germain sends out a very strong message,” the club’s president Nasser Al Khelaifi said.
“Together, we have the ambition to take the club to the summits of Europe."
Ibra added: "I cannot see greater ambition in Europe than that of Paris Saint-Germain.
"I wholeheartedly wish that Paris Saint-Germain be my last big club. This club is like me -- for us, the dream is never big enough."
