Sergio Aguero is back from his hamstring injury, and is itching to get back into the goals to ignite Manchester City’s Premier League defence.
The Argentine international striker is confident that just like last season, City can overhaul their illustrious neighbours, to retain their status as England’s number one.
In fact, it may even be easier for City this time around, when their ability to reverse an eight-point gap in the last six games of last season is taken into account.
This time, they have almost half a campaign to address their current five-point deficit. And so Aguero believes that City have what it takes to get the job done again.
"We won the title off them last season and now we're in the fight again," he said.
"We can regain the leadership of the Premier League from them. City have everything to continue to grow and the best is yet to come.
"I feel the ambition of my team-mates in the dressing room, in training and in the matches. I hope that the title we won last season was just the first step."
