Group F in the Champions League is a tinderbox this season, and there were minor explosions after last night’s round of matches.
With two more group stage matches to go, things are getting squeaky in the ‘group of death’, with one of the Gunners, Napoli and Dortmund destined to suffer a painful elimination.
After succumbing to Aaron Ramsey’s sucker punch last night, Klopp admitted that Dortmund had struggled to find a way past Arsenal’s determined defending.
"We had 11 shots before they scored and sometimes it was like they were defending with four legs, but football is a game of results," he sighed.
"It is difficult after the game, but you have to look forward. It is a very strong group and the positive news tonight is that two wins and we will qualify."
With Klopp left to ruminate on what have now become must-win games at home against Napoli and away against Marseille, he is also talking up Arsenal’s chances.
He thinks that provided the Gunners don’t come up against heavyweight holders Bayern Munich, Arsene Wenger's team may even go all the way to win this season’s Champions League.
"Yes,” he said, when asked if the Gunners are genuine competition contenders.
“They are young, healthy and good technicians.
"They won a clever game tonight and could go to the final and win it - as long as they don't play against Bayern Munich."
