LA Galaxy forward Robbie Keane has urged Frank Lampard to join him State-side.
Chelsea veteran Lampard has been linked to the Galaxy as his contract with the Blues winds down.
The MLS club is keen to make the midfielder their latest big-name signing from the Premier League, to replace David Beckham.
Lamps is yet to decide where his future lies, and Keane- who joined the Galaxy after his own EPL career began to fizzle out- hopes the England star opts for LA.
“We want to get good players in,” Keane said, according to Soccernet.
“It is good for the association here, as well as Galaxy, to be linked with big-name player - and that is what Frank is. Hopefully we can get him.”
Meanwhile, back in the UK, Lamps has indeed signed a new deal, but not with Chelsea.
Father of two Lampard has reached an agreement with publisher Little, Brown Books for Young Readers to write five children’s books.
Lamps said he had the idea while reading to his young daughters.
"Sport and reading are two essentials for us at home, so I decided to make up my own football stories and adventures," he said.
"The characters are loosely based on friends and team mates I've played with over the years."
