AC Milan midfielder Kaka says that he is happy with the improvement in his game and feels that he is now choosing the best options on the field.
The 31-year-old returned to the San Siro from Real Madrid this summer after a difficult four-year spell following a GBP 56 million move to Los Blancos in 2009.
The Brazilian previously admitted his delight at returning to the Italian club where he built his reputation, and made an impact straight away by assisting Antonio Nocerino's strike in a 4-0 win over Chiasso in a friendly.
"It was a good game," he told reporters. "Milan need to improve but we have room for growth.
"From my personal point of view, at age 31 you have learnt a lot of things and now I choose plays that are best when passing the ball.
"I missed just a little rhythm and continuity but I'm happy."
Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri added, "Kaka played more as a midfielder and just needs to find the rhythm to his game.
"(Riccardo) Saponara came back fine, he's fine too. He needs to play and find the right condition.
"We have an excellent department of attack, with different solutions to deal with every game when the players are in good condition.
"We play once every three days and we will need everyone."
