Kaizer Chiefs Diski Sides’ ‘Showboating’ Makes The Round In Spain

Last weekend, Kaizer Chiefs' MultiChoice Diski side left Mzansi’s football fans in awe with their silky skills and outrageous showboating. The video clip made rounds on the internet and was now even picked up by Spanish media.

The Amakhosi reserves beat Platinum Stars 4-2 in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge on Saturday and in the dying minutes of the match they decided to kill the game off in true South African style.

Spanish publication Marca posted the clip on their website and it was accompanied by an article with the headline “South African youth team humiliate opponents with in-game rondo”.

“Football teams across the globe warm up for their training sessions and matches with rondos, the piggy-in-the-middle game, but the Kaizer Chiefs reserves team took it to another level by performing one during a match,” the article on Marca read.

“With time running out and with a 4-2 advantage over Platinum Stars on the scoreboard, they set up in triangles and passed the ball around their rivals.

“Even when the opportunity to advance towards the opposition goal arose, the players would halt and turn back, passing the ball around yet another defender.

“Tricks, no-look passes and dabs were added in too, completing the humiliation.”

8 Stars Who Could Replace Suarez At Barca

Kaizer Chiefs' reserves are currently in sixth place on the MDC table, 10 points behind first-place Golden Arrows.

Those boys reminded me how the game was killed off during the late 90's to the early 2000's. That is why our stadiums were full. Entertainment was the tge name of beautiful game. Unlike today where our players kick and run. It puzzle me when we hear players who were doing that criticising these youngsters.

They are reducing their chances of promotion to the senior team. There is no room for that in the premier league. Having said that, fans love and enjoy it

Dribbling is a skill not mickey mousing. Dribble and move forward like we were doing in our time. I will give typical examples players like Teenage Dladla, Lamola, Ace Ntsoeleng and Doc Khumalo. Yes we want entertainment in the field of play but not funny actions.

I am BACK... More Khisified by these young lads taking us back to our South African Football... This is better than a cow going to the corner flag shielding the ball of the Goatkeeper delaying to hold the ball and "Sleeping" on the ball when the opposit player approaches... Big up boys, I mean the score is 4-2 and the game is already over what more do all these Cowches want? We go to the stadium for two things 1. Goals and 2. Entertainment, some show me your number kinda football... If you give us gaols and you have already secured your win then give us some kasi flavour... I hope there is no profanity thing because it was the reason I stayed away from Soccer Laduma
