Didier Drogba is not currently in Juventus' plans, according to club executive officer, Guiseppe Marotta.
The statements refute previous reports that Drogba was nearly done with a deal to move to the Italian Serie A champions.
"Drogba is a free agent and we have been offered him. But we have not taken him into consideration," Marotta said at an event at Bocconi University in Milan.
This development may indicate that 36-year-old Drogba is free to rejoin his former manager Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, another widely speculated move.
Marotta did, however, indicate his club's interest in buying Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona.
"Sanchez is a player we really appreciate, but for the moment we haven't moved yet," he added.
