Jose Mourinho, who is still unemployed, has revealed an interesting conversation he recently had with one his former players about his future, with many believing it might have been Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese tactician has been linked with Juventus in recent days, with reports in Europe claiming Ronaldo would love to play under him again.
As a result, many publications feel the 56-year-old may have been talking about the 34-year-old when he revealed that one of his former players wants him to join the club he is currently playing for, although it remains unclear just who he was speaking about.
"One of the players that I have a great relationship with, he plays for a team and he told me, 'You should come here next season' and I told him, 'They don't love me,'" he said on beIN SPORTS.
"He told me, 'You win three matches and they will start loving you.'
"This is just… we are professionals and we have respect for each other, even when we have bad reactions on the pitch, in the press conference, a player be more aggressive with another one.
"It's people from the same industry and in the end, people respect each other."
Ronaldo worked under Mourinho at Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, scoring 168 goals in 164 games.
