Queiroz's Iran Held By Angola

Iran started their World Cup preparations with a 1-1 draw against Angola at the TSV Stadium on Friday.

Domingos Cussanda gave the Angolans the just before the halftime break, after being teed up by Gilberto.

However, Iran managed to grab the equaliser through Karim Ansarifard's goal in the 56th minute.

Carlos Queiroz's men take on Trinadad and Tabago in another friendly clash on Sunday before their World Cup begins against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the Iran boss continues to be linked to the Bafana Bafana job, where he had previously coached from 2000 to 2002, as Gordon Igesund's future at the helm remains uncertain.
