Yohan Cabaye opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a composed finish, after some good build-up play between the midfielder and Olivier Giroud.
Three minutes later and the lead was doubled through Blaise Matuidi's low-driven strike from 20-yards, after being teed up by Karim Benzema.
France dominated throughout the first half and added a third in the 38th minute, as Karim Benzema curled one into the top corner for his 20th goal for the national side.
Giroud got his name on the score-sheet five minutes after the restart, with a powerful finish from close range after being picked out Benzema.
Benzema them got France's fifth in the the 63rd minute with another fine finish from inside the area, after collecting a pass from Matuidi.
Two minutes later and Matuidi got his second of the night, Patrice Evra picked out the midfielder, who volleyed home from six-yards out.
Mathieu Valbuena should have added a seventh in the 74th minute but the French winger managed to place his effort wide of the target from close range.
Substitute Antoine Griezmaan got in on the act just a minute later with a controlled right-footed finish from inside the area, before completing his brace in the 89th minute.
The visitors had no answers for the French attack, and failed to register a single effort on target.
In the night's other results, Carlos Querioz's Iran defeated Trinadad and Tobago 2-0, while Costa Rica were held to a 1-1 draw by the Republic of Ireland.
