Inter Milan were held to a 2-2 draw by Torino in their Serie A clash at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday night.
Cristian Chivu opened the scoring for the hosts but a brace from Riccardo Meggiorini gave the visitors the lead. Esteban Cambiasso equalised matters to salvage a point for the Nerazzuri.
The hosts needed only five minutes to take the lead. Inter won a free kick after Matteo Brighi fouled Antonio Cassano and Chivu curled home the 20-yard set-piece.
Torino were back on level terms in the 23rd minute. Fredy Guarin lost focus after receiving the ball from Samir Handanovic and allowed Barreto to gain possession. He then passed it back to Meggiorini who found the far corner of the goal.
Eight minute into the second half the traveling side were in the lead for the first time. Alessio Cerci provided the low cross and Meggiorini completed his double as he guided it home.
However, Inter's blushes were spared thanks to a timely strike from veteran midfielder Cambiasso. Javier Zanetti powered in behind the defence and cut it back for Cambiasso to steer into the back of the net.
The result leaves Inter nine points behind Serie A leaders Juventus.
