Internazionale and Juventus played out to an enthralling 1-1 draw at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
The first-half saw both team sizing each other out and the first real chance only came around the half an hour mark, as Paul Pogba receiving a wonderful Andrea Pirlo ball but he scuffed his shot.
Ten minutes later a Pirlo error almost led to a goal but Saphir Taider's attempt at goal was well dealt with by Gianluigi Buffon.
After a goalless first-half, the second-half continued at a similar pace to the first.
Inter brought on new signing Mauro Icardi in the 68th minute and five minutes later he ran onto an Ricky Alvarez through ball to score past Buffon and give Inter a 1-0 lead.
But it was short-lived as two minutes later Arturo Vidal equalized for Juventus. His left-footed shot flying into the corner. This was the first goal conceded by Inter in the Serie A this season.
Juventus almost grabbed the lead a minute later, but Carlos Tevez missed the target by inches.
With time almost up Juventus almost grabbed a second, but Mauricio Isla missed a golden opportunity to steal the win and his mis-kick went just wide.
