Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta believes that Spain are on the right track after an opening 2-1 win over Uruguay in the Confederations Cup on Sunday.
Iniesta and Barcelona teammate Xavi were at their best in the middle of the park as the popped the ball around the field to keep Spain in control of the game throughout.
Iniesta was pleased with the performance on the day, saying that they made the right decisions and played the right passes to keep the South Americans out of the game.
"The team put in a great performance and worked very hard. We are on the right track with two games left in the group stages," the Barcelona star told reporters.
"We knew that Uruguay were going to approach the game aggressively and would not allow us time to think on the ball. We always made the right decisions, though, and always picked the right pass.
"We struggled a bit with the humidity towards the end. We were looking for a third goal, but were unable to get one. The overall feeling is good, though."
