Andres Iniesta believes Brazilian superstar Neymar’s decision to join Barcelona will benefit his career and the club’s future.
Iniesta is of the opinion that Neymar will continue to grow as a player and improve his skills if he is surrounded by the talent of the Barcelona squad.
“He's (Neymar) coming to the best place that he could go to. One of the best young players is coming and that's what we all want,” said Iniesta.
“He will contribute a lot, he's a player with outstanding talent and quality. He can unsettle opponents, score goals and give spectacular performances at a club which is ideal to continue growing.
“It's great news that we can count on him. Surrounded by the people that he's going to have here, he will get better all the time.”
Neymar will have his medical today and, if all goes to plan, will sign his contract at the club's offices before being presented to the media.
Iniesta added that he is looking forward to seeing the likes of Neymar and the world’s best player in Lionel Messi combine.
“The great players always understand one another. Leo will make Neymar better and vice-versa. It's a team game and the sum of all helps the club win,” concluded Iniesta.
